Studio Options!

I realize that this photo of drool isn’t the best photo, but it does show who dogs really are and for that I love it! More importantly though, I wanted to talk a bit out studio options that are available for pet portraits. With winter and grey skies upon us this is a great time of year to shoot indoors. And it just so happens I have a great little space to shoot in. I brought in Berkeley and Bear to help me show you some of the options that are available.

The classic white backdrop never goes out of style, and is a great way to showcase just your dog! With Berkeley – the French Bulldog –  being only 8 months old, I am impressed we even got one shot of these two together.  She was however, very food motivated which made getting her to do tricks a LOT easier. Those ears!Bear was a much calmer 3 year old, and even though he sits a little funny he still worked his way right into my heart.

We also have a very festive sequinned backdrop that is PERFECT for the holidays or celebrations.
A little more drool too! Goes well with sequins.

And we have a damask backdrop for a more regal look.

Working in the studio is also a great option if you have a dog that doesn’t have very good recall. Being confined makes it a lot easier to get their attention and they can’t run off.
