Well the shooting for the Victoria Adoptables Calendar is done! I had my last shoot with Carol’s dog’s last week and I am thrilled with how everything has come together. More news on the calendar coming soon, but in the meantime enjoy some puppies – all these cuties are available for adoption –  as well as the dogs that regularly live with Carol.

I can’t believe all five of them sat still!

It is because of Karen that I got involved with Victoria Adoptables, so it only made sense that I shoot her two little fur balls for the calendar (which is coming soon!!!). Shyla, Duke and I headed down to Island View Beach for some running around. These two are a riot together and I am getting excited to see how everything comes together. Shyla is a little ball obsessed.

  • bray - What kind of dog is the lighter one?? He is the exact kind of dog I’m looking forReplyCancel

    • Charlie - Bray, Shyla is a mixed rescue, so it’s hard to know what all she is made up of, though I know her parents did DNA testing and it came back with over 5 breeds mixed in.ReplyCancel

I recently shot an engagement shoot for a couple who owns one of the coolest cats I’ve met. Branson is a bit more like a dog than most cat’s I’ve met, though he still didn’t seem to understand come, sit or stay. He did understand back rubs and tongue clicking though.

Photos from Amy and Glen’s engagement session can be seen over on my “regular” blog.

Over the weekend Diamond Dogs celebrated three years of business! To help them celebrate I set up a photobooth at for a donation to Victoria  Adoptables people were able to have a photo of their pet taken. Everyone had a great time and we raised over $250 for Victoria Adoptables! Here are some behind the scenes photos from the day and a gallery of the pet portraits can be seen here.
Luigi just could not get enough of the photobooth and came back to it for seconds and thirds. Willow, the smaller of the Pitbulls above, may be my all time favorite Pitty. She is also an ambassador at the SPCA and plays with kids. It was great to see Arnold again (a VADR veteran) and just about the sweetest dog in the world. More photos of him can be seen here.
