This made me laugh out loud. How many of our dogs eat things we wish they would just stay away from? I know Charlie has gotten his fair share of tissues out of the garbage bin, but luckily my husbands facial hair has stayed off limits.
What is your dog eating that you wish they weren’t?
Banana was a super sweet heart. Pit bulls often get a bad wrap, but more often then not their problems are the direct result of their upbringing. And it was clear that Banana was brought up right! He was a sweet heart, though he was very unsure of my camera, almost all the way through the shoot. Unfortunately though, Banana had some pretty serious medical issues and was on heavy painkillers for the last days of his life. I know Banana will be missed by many and I feel lucky to have gotten to know him for even just an hour.

I’ll admit I don’t know a ton of Great Danes, but if they are all as sweet as Hugo then I want to meet more of them. For a puppy, this dog is huge, and I am sure he will only get bigger, but he knew how to work it for the camera. You can also meet Hugo as he spends his days helping his Mom keep shop over at Ravishing Rover in Sidney.

Arnold came to live with his mom via Victoria Adoptables. I really wish I had known about these guys when I decided I was ready to bring a dog into my life, because as much as I love and adore my lil Charlie I do believe in adoption. When we were looking at SPCA dogs though, most of them where over the weight restriction we have in our building and hence we ended up with Charlie. Arnold’s mom, Monique, however did her research and ended up with one of the most adorable puppies, ever! He is even half french bulldog, and has those big Frenchie ears that I love so much. Arnold, Monique and I all met up before the snow really hit Victoria, but we caught a bit of it and Arnold seemed to love it!
Oh, and Monique has two cats too! They aren’t 100% sure about Arnold yet, but they’re getting there.

Awwww. He is beautiful! LOVE the images with snow, but that first one is a heart warmer too! So awesome Jesse!
Honey is by far the best dog I’ve ever photographed in a canoe. Okay, she might also be the only one, but she does know her way around a boat. It was a pleasure working with Honey and her two parents, Emmy and Aaron (who are also some pretty rad photographers).
